FOUR SEASONS AUGUST 2023 NEWSLETTER CORRECTION:
Waste Management: Yard waste is picked up every other TUESDAY. (not Thursday).
All Waste Management customers should have received an email from them this week. In case you didn’t, here is the content of the message:
Service Alert
This is an important message about your Waste Collection service. WM will no longer collect bags or material outside of your cart. Please place your cart at the curb at least 3 feet from all objects, including your mailbox, cars, or trees. Place the wheels of the cart toward the house with all contents inside the closed lid. If you are currently using a personal garbage can, contact us for a WM-approved cart. Please contact WM at midsouthcs@wm.com with any questions.
The reason for this notification is that Waste Management has changed their trash delivery trucks to the type that uses only one person to drive and activate a mechanical arm that grasps the can, lifts it and dumps it into the top of the truck. That is the reason they want the cans pointing a certain direction (wheels toward your house) as well as making sure there aren’t other objects near the can. All contents must be within the can with the lid closed.

Invitation to Neighborhood Informational Meeting December 13 (Case No. 21-CUPPA-0173 @ 2703 Summerfield Drive). This meeting is for a conditional use permit to use 2703 Summerfield Drive as a short-term rental.
From Councilman Kevin Kramer’s District 11 Newsletter:
Conditional Use Permit for proposed Short Term Rental Property located at 2703 Summerfield Drive
Dear Neighbor,
I am Neech Yates and I am a member of Tate and Smith Investment, LLC. We are a locally owned and operated real estate company. For the past six years, we have managed long-term residential rentals. As part of a new venture, we are excited to move into the short-term rental space. We have researched nice residential areas that would be a good fit for our company portfolio and we believe that our professional residential management team would be a welcomed asset for this area and neighborhood. First and foremost, Tate and Smith has earned a strong reputation built on high standards, principles and family values. We believe in being good neighbors and owners in your neighborhood. This property will be professionally managed and maintained. We have a ZERO tolerance for large parties, loud disturbance or any type of public nuisance. We will strictly adhere to a maximum overnight occupancy of 8 people. As of the date of this letter, aesthetic improvements are being made inside and outside the home to keep in line with the pride of ownership seen in nearby homes. Based on our experience, we know that continuous home improvements add to the property value of the neighborhood. Once the renovations are complete, we will offer the home as a short- term rental available to the public.
This all being said, our conditional Use Permit 21-CUPPA- 0173 is to request approval for a short term rental ( Vrbo, home away or Airbnb)
A neighborhood meeting is required by Louisville Metro Planning and Design Services to present the proposed request to adjoining property owners and interested parties. Because of the ongoing pandemic and social distancing during public gatherings we will be meeting via Zoom.

ATTENTION WASTE MANAGEMENT CUSTOMERS
FSNA has signed a new three year contract with Waste Management, the “PREFERRED” waste hauler for Four Seasons. Current prices will remain the same as they are now, unless something unforeseen happens. Trash and yard waste will continue to be picked up weekly, recycling is biweekly (every other week). To accommodate the change in recycling WM will provide a 96 gallon recycling tote (the same size as our current trash tote), at no additional charge. Recycling customers will be delivered the new tote unless you notify Waste Management, or FSNA. You may use your existing recycling containers or purchase one from local stores such as Lowe’s or Home Depot.
It will probably be several weeks before the new recycling totes are delivered, we will let you know when WM notifies us. WM plans to deliver new totes on a recycling day, service day, delivering the new totes and picking up the current bins. Biweekly recycling service has become the standard in most areas of the country.
THIS CHANGE ONLY EFFECTS RECYCLING
If you have any questions please contact FSNA representative Les Allen at: leswallen@bellsouth.net
Here is the latest update from Waste Management as communicated via email 11/4:
Valued WM Customer, your recycling pick up will continue on every other week service through the month of November. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
FSNA has been advised by our Waste Management account representative that our YARD WASTE service is weekly from this point forward, however RECYCLING will be every other week through at least October. He said their labor issues have improved, and appreciates our understanding. He also said we should be seeing an adjustment on our yard waste and recycling bill. Therefore, the next RECYCLING pick up should be 10/22 since we had one last week.
